TEcnoGoteR is a family of Thermoplastic Elastomers (TPE) mainly based on hydrogenated block styrenic copolymer elastomers, such as SEBS (styrene-ethylene/butylene-styrene) and/or SEPS (styrene-ethylene/propylene-styrene). Thermoplastic elastomers TEGR can be transformed using typical technologies for thermoplastic polymers such as injection moulding, extrusion, blowing, filming, etc.

Thanks to its thermoplastic characteristics, TEGR can be easily recycled.

TEGR are highly resistant to the action of UV and atmospheric agents in general thanks to the particularly stable chemical nature of the elastomer on which they are based. TEGR are quite similar to the rubber from which they replicate softness and elasticity.

General properties

Thanks to the excellent processability using conventional systems for thermoplastics (extrusion, injection, etc.), technical compounds are available in a wide variety of colours and hardness. The latter can also be multiple, thanks to supra moulding techniques. Vulcanisation is not necessary and therefore the materials are completely recyclable.

The excellent physical-mechanical properties make our products extremely elastic and resistant to ozone aging, to exposure to UV radiation and to temperatures. The maintaining of our products is guaranteed from -50°C +120°C

With the extraordinary design as a result of the good transparency, all the TEGR products are resistant to aqueous solutions (acids, bases), to electricity and to abrasion

Applications

Industrial and electrical sector

Good electrical insulation, ergonomics, resistance to industrial environments and to temperatures.

Certain common applications: cables, pipes, gaskets in general, push buttons, flexible protections, technopolymer casing coatings, grippers and anti-slip elements, industrial tool handles, rollers, tensioner chain rollers, various knobs

Automotive Industry

Good soundproofing; certain key applications: door seals, ventilation grilles, components subjected to high temperatures, coloured components inside vehicles, airbag covers, handles, keys coating with encoder, dashboard control knobs.

Toys, sporting goods and houseware articles

An alternative to PVC in terms of lightness, ergonomics, safety, reliability and design.
